Can you be an intuitive leader?

You may be wondering whether intuition is important in leadership, and I would say yes. Using your intuition in your role as a leader is key, because it alerts you to what feels right for you. Maybe you can recall a time when something felt out of sync, and although you could not say why you had the feeling you just knew.

Tapping into your intuition allows you to have a deeper level of understanding, a unique knowledge and an in depth vision. All of this helps you to know things at a more profound level. Things may be happening within your team, and rather than listening to all of the noise coming from the various sources, being still can provide you with the insight as to the best course of action.

Your role as a leader often requires you to make some tough decisions that may make you unpopular with some people. However, when you can remain focused on the main objective, and make decisions with that in mind, the outcome should be in line with the goal. This does not mean that as a leader you should go out of your way to be right on every issue, as it is still a team effort.

Reducing conflict

One of the main reasons for disagreement is due to poor or ineffective communication, whether from you, or to you. You may want one outcome, and assume that your team are aware of what you want, but they are not. On the other hand, they may be facing certain challenges that affect their ability to deliver, but you are unaware of their circumstances, so expect results. This is often the case in fast paced or a changing environment, where everyone, including you, seems to be putting out fires. This is why making the time to frequently visit your quiet space is important to keep you on track.

How do you use your intuition to help you to stay on track…

Intention

Have a clear intention

Inspiration

Impact
